Look around you!
Years ago, I shared this short reflection: Look around you! Chaos. Unrest. Leaders making plans against God.
They think they can control everything. They think they are stronger than God.

Psalm 2 says: Stop. Listen.
"Why do the nations rage? Why do the peoples plot in vain?"
Do you hear that? It's a warning. Your struggle against God? Pointless.
God answers. He laughs.
Not because He mocks you.
But because He knows: your rebellion changes nothing.
"I have installed my King on Zion."
Do you hear that? His King is ready. His Son is born. Jesus.
The Messiah. The King who comes, who reigns, who will return.
And then the call. Listen closely:
"Kiss the Son, lest he be angry. Blessed are all who take refuge in him."
Kiss. Bow. Acknowledge. Surrender.
This is not a suggestion. This is a command.
The world is tense. Chaos surrounds you.
And you? You stand at a crossroads.
Will you go your own way? Will you fight against God?
Or will you bow before the King?
Psalm 2 says: Choose today.
Trust the Son. Take refuge in Him.
Here is protection. Here is peace.
Here is life that no one can take away, now and forever.
Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.
This is not a soft message. This is an ultimatum.
Time is short. Do you dare to bow?
Do you dare to acknowledge: Jesus, the Son of God is King?
Do you dare to choose Him?
Stand. Bow. Trust.
The King is waiting.
Historically, Psalm 2 likely referred to the king of Israel (David or his descendant) as God's representative. Yet Scripture carries a universal message that speaks to the past, present, and future, and I also see in it a foreshadowing of Jesus.
- Acts 4:25-26: Peter quotes Psalm 2:1-2 about the rage of the nations.
- Acts 13:33: Refers to Psalm 2:7 about the Son.
- Hebrews 1:5: Quotes Psalm 2:7 to confirm Jesus as the Son of God.
- Hebrews 5:5: Applies Psalm 2:7 to Jesus' priesthood.
